Yeti SaaS Prompt Builder Reduces My OpenAI API Costs
A second version of the SaaS builder was created to turn a product brief into a highly detailed ChatGPT build prompt, allowing development through ChatGPT Plus instead of API calls.
The original SaaS Builder used an OpenAI API workflow to help generate applications. I then identified a simpler personal version that could save API costs by producing a complete, optimised build specification for use directly inside ChatGPT Plus.
Yeti SaaS Prompt Builder retained the structured questions about the product, audience, branding and required features, but changed the final output. Instead of building the application through paid API requests, it created a detailed prompt that included the technical requirements, installation format and YetiCore integration instructions.
This was a useful example of improving a product by questioning the cost and workflow behind it. The result was not a reduced version of the idea; it was a different tool designed for a different and very practical use case.
